This was a busy year for us. Even though we are slowing down with work, not taking on new projects/jobs, wedding photography, we still have lots to work with. However, we did play a bit more, as in out of town. In January, we went on a 7 day cruise on the Norwegian to Cozumel, Roatan, Costa Maya.
Besides the cruise in January, there was the usual Mardi Gras balls to photograph as well as basketball team and individual sports pics. February was more of the same with Mardi Gras day on February 13th.
The rest of February and March was normal work, bike riding, stuff. Blake (my nephew) got married in April and right after that we were off to Spain to hike the Camino de Santiago from Pamplona to Santiago, ~400 miles. It was tough but well worth the hurt. The scenery of the countrysides covered in vinyards, or other crops, the 800 yr old towns and huge cathedrals along the way.
Returning from Spain, we jump right into baseball pictures (team and individuals), Sophie took me to see Jerry Seinfeld for my birthday/fathers day present, Sam moved into his own apartment on June 1st.. then it was time to travel to Nashville and Knoxville for pictures.
About 2 and 1/2 weeks on the road, back home for 2 weeks, then off to Idaho in July for more pictures. A 3 day drive from NOLA. On our way back home, we stopped to see Yellowstone and spent a night at the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone. Beautiful park.
Back to school pictures and football team and individual pictures in August, September, with a trip to the beach with old friends. I'll have to upload pics later, they are still on my phone...
From the beach, we get home and prep for a month in San Diego in October for work pictures. San Diego was fun, so much to do, and see, and enjoy the weather.
The drive to and from San Diego included stops at Houston to visit with Luke and Judy, Saguaro National Park to see cacti, a desert park to walk in the sand, Tombstone, AZ on Halloween night, a visit with Aunt Zelia in Houston.
Return home, and two weeks later we are in Knoxville and Nashville for make up pictures.
All highway driving. I enjoy seeing the countryside, small towns, big towns, scenic byways, big sky, and this summer was all that.
Had a great Thanksgiving dinner and visit with Lorraines fam. Time for basketball pics, Christmas party pics, Santa pics.
A good year.
