Stacy and Michael

Ok, so I haven't blogged in a while. Too much facebook among other things (work) to keep my busy. Last week I photographed Stacy and Michael's wedding which started off a bit slow, but ended as a beautiful celebration should.

A small hotel in the French Quarter (Hotel Villa Convento) was the beginning of the afternoon, a quaint hotel with a room on the rooftop level and a cool view of the Quarter from the balcony. I walk into the room just as the sweet little flower girl burned her hand on the hair curler and two brides maids are still calling for directions to the hotel. I think... good, because there is time to take individual photos of the bride near the french doors on the balcony. These, however are two of my favorites...

On to the ceremony at Southern Oaks, Stacy is not as nervous and the groom is all smiles as we do pictures before the ceremony... separately. The ceremony was perfect, weather was perfect and the fireworks and streamers topped off the ceremony.

It was during the pictures after the ceremony that I noticed how happy and in love this couple is... the way they looked at each other, the way they kissed as if no one else was in the room. They didn't care. I was glad to be a part of this day in the beginning of their life together.
