These first photos are from a wedding at the Woodland Plantation near Port Sulfur, LA. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding that I did the prep shots until Steve Randon arrived from Covington, LA. (Steve is a terrific photographer who is a 3rd generation family photographer in the New Orleans area who I have had the opportunity to work with on occasion. )
The plantation house is well known for its image on the labels of Southern Comfort Whiskey.
This 'butt cake' is absolutely the funniest grooms cake I have seen in 8 years of wedding photography!
Moving on to the next wedding, you could tell immediately that Lori is a sports fan, preferably the Saints and LSU Football...
The lobby of the Harrah's Hotel in downtown New Orleans was a cool spot for group photos of the girls.
The wedding was in the famous St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter. It is the oldest continuously operating Cathedral in the United States. 
After the ceremony, we 'second lined' to the reception two blocks away at the Riverview Room, overlooking the mighty Mississippi River.

Jessica is the next bride in this blog post. This wedding was one of my favorites in the past month. It wasn't the most expensive affair, but boy do they know how to party. Most people from the Westbank of New Orleans know the brides family name by the music they play, and they play it well. The reception had to have no less than 300 people and most of them were dancing to the sounds of the Foret Family.....
Earlier in the day, I photographed a smaller wedding which was perfect for these two. Lisa and Christopher had their perfect day together in the company of family and a few friends. Remember, it doesn't have to be big to be special.
Erin and Eric were a special couple as well. You could tell they were into each other by the first dance and how they looked in each others eyes. It has the power to make others jealous of the bond they share.
